A stellar first round score of 69 has put Natalie Gulbis 2 behind leader Karen Stupples at the 2008 Kraft Nabisco Championship. Tied for 3rd place with Natalie is Heather Young who also carded an excellent round of 69. In second place after day one, just 1 back, is Lorena Ochoa and Ai Miyazato.

Natalie Gulbis and Karrie Webb are paired together for round 2 with a tee time of 8:49am Pacific Time.

After participating in Derek Jeter’s charity tournament and staying a few days to practice up for the 2008 season in Tampa, Florida at Avila Country Club, Natalie Gulbis arrives at the “Lipstick Jungle” Premiere at Saks Fifth Avenue on January 31, 2008 in New York City.

While in taking in all that Fashion Week has to offer, Natalie Gulbis attends Abaete Fall 2008 during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Bryant Park on February 2, 2008 in New York City.

Natalie Gulbis took part in Derek Jeter’s Celebrity Golf Tournament in Tampa, Florida on Monday January 28th, 2008 held at the plush Avila Country Club. The annual event benefits Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation. The Turn 2 Foundation, established in 1996, has awarded more than $8 million in grants to create and support signature programs and activities that motivate young people to choose healthy lifestyles.

Natalie Gulbis tries to attend this great event each January when her schedule permits. This year’s star studded event brings together the likes of Natalie Gulbis, Annika Sorenstam, Morgan Freeman, Michael Jordan, John Legend, Warren Sapp, and many others.

A Saturday night launch party aboard the Yacht StarShip that was docked alongside the Channelside port in Tampa kicked off the festivities. Practice rounds and a fun day highlighted Sunday leading up to the main event on Monday. The stars came out and the sun was shining brightly on Monday for the fifth annual Derek Jeter Celebrity Golf Classic.
