Natalie Gulbis Hello From Las Vegas Natalie Gulbis 7.21.2008
Jun 20

Hello from Rochester, New York.

I have been really busy. I have been in 6 cities in the last 10 days. After the McDonald’s LPGA Championship in Baltimore, MD, I flew to Kingsmill, VA, where I participated in a corporate outing. From there it was on to Chicago for a great event with the CME group. That Tuesday night, I flew to Los Angeles. Finally after a meeting in L.A., it was home to Las Vegas! It was great to be home for a few days. I practiced at Reflection Bay and The Butch Harmon School. I had struggled with my putting in the McDonald’s event, so I spent much time on the putting green. I added some lead tape to feel the head a bit more. I also picked up some bad habits in my setup, so I worked on fixing those.

We had a fun Friday where I shot the final episode of the Natalie Gulbis Show with The Golf Channel. It’s so sad to see it end! I love that show and the response from my fans has been incredible. We started at 5am. Cameras came into the house and followed me to the gym to meet my trainer and then back home to meet singer songwriter Josh Kelley. My favorite song, “Amazing” is played frequently on my iPod. He is an avid golfer as well and showed up at my house to spend the day. He sang favorite songs throughout the day and I got a private concert as we sat by my pool. He even wrote a few lines of a song. It was so fun! He had a good swing and played some golf in college. I also shot a Public Service Announcement for the Boy and Girls Clubs of America that day and he sang to the kids too! That evening, we topped off shooting with a red carpet event and party at the Palms Place Resort called CineVegas. It was a full day to say the least! But so much fun!

On Fathers’ Day, my dad and I got up at 4:00am to take flight to Newark, NJ. We stayed with Bobbi Brown and her family. Had a great dinner at an Irish place in New Jersey and watched the exciting U.S. Open. On Monday I played in a Skins game with Joe Pesci, Ray Romano, and Christie Kerr. It was a charity Skins game and an absolute blast. We were laughing from start to finish. We hustled through the Skins to catch the end of one of the greatest golf showings ever, the finish of this year’s U.S. Open. Congratulations to Tiger! What an amazing performance and best of luck to him for a healthy recovery from knee surgery!

Following that stretch, I went to Rochester, NY for this week’s LPGA event. It has been a full and exciting few weeks and I am looking forward to competition again. Hope everyone had a great Fathers’ Day!

I’m working with Takkle.com, a social networking site that provides lacrosse rankings, videos, photos, and a whole lot more. Takkle is a place where students, athletes, coaches, and fans can share their passion for lacrosse and other sports.

I feel that your site is very useful. I would love to know if you could link to our social networking resource.

Please tell Natalie her 2008 calendar stinks and she needs to go back to the cheesecake bikini ones. We all respect Natalie as a golfer, but don’t want a calendar full of golf shots that we can see any time we watch her on the LPGA Tour.
