At Lake Las Vegas
Hello From Las Vegas! It is so nice to be home! I have had a great stretch of events. I started my trip in France, then headed to England f or the British Open, t hen off to Japan, Canada and then Portland and home. Five events and six countries later, I am exhausted. My game was sharp in the first few weeks and I picked up some bad habits towards the end. Above is a picture from a Pro-Am where I played with Jason Dial from P&G Beauty . He was not an avid golfer but after a fun day and some new Taylor Made irons , I think he is addicted to the sport , even if he will not admit it just yet! As you can see in the picture s below , I have good extension. My first day back Butch and I went out and played at 7am before the course got busy , and worked on extension. That has been my primary focus in practice this week.
Away from golf I have been enjoying my home and Las Vegas. The weather has been so nice! 100 degrees every day and sunny. On Friday night I went to the show “O” which was incredible and my personal trainer, Melanie, and I ran a 10k on Sunday morning. There was a world wide contest that 24 hour Fitness was encouraging everyone to run a 10k on August 31. S o we headed out at 6am started at Ma ndalay Bay at one end of the strip and ran 5k and 5k back. I had never run more than 5 miles at a time so this was a fun challenge. We were really excited to run and be successful. It was fun to see all the hotels and run Las Vegas Boulevard when it was not packed with people!
With a partner it was fun and easier than I expected. Happy Labor Day weekend!
