Steady as she goes was the theme of Natalie Gulbis’ Saturday at the the 2009 Jamie Farr Classic as Natalie turned in a 2 under par 69 for the 3rd round.

Natalie Gulbis ran off 9 straight pars on the front side Saturday for an even par 34 going out. A par on number 10 made it 10 pars in a row before birdies on 11 and 12 put her 2 under for the day. All pars on 13-18 gave Natalie a 2 under 35 coming in and a 2 under round overall.

Probably not a big enough move on Saturday to make some noise but Natalie Gulbis is still in contention at 11 under par tied with final round playing partner Lorena Ochoa in 11th place. Natalie needs a monster day on Sunday to have any chance of winning this one.

Natalie Gulbis just couldn’t get it going on the final day at the 2009 Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill. A slow start and several bogeys on the back side made for a one over par 72.

After 2 superb rounds on Friday and Saturday, Sunday started out very uneventful. A birdie at number 8 is all Natalie could produce on the front side for a one under 35. The back side was a different story as a couple loose lugnuts caused the cart to wobble and Natalie faltered to 3 bogeys and a single birdie on the back side for a 2 over par 37.

Natalie Gulbis’ week was all in all an excellent one as she finished nine under par for the tournament and a tie for seventh place with Angela Stafford. Cristie Kerr won the event with a final round 70 as all the players scores seem to rise on the final day.

Natalie Gulbis was scheduled to board an NBC provided private jet to fly to New York for the season finale of the Celebrity Apprentice. With her top ten finish Natalie was in the final few pairings which could have contributed to her missing the finale. Other than a one second shot of Natalie at the final task event that was taped, Natalie Gulbis failed to appear on the live Celebrity Apprentice final show.

Slip slidin’ away can only describe Natalie Gulbis during round 4 of the Kraft Nabisco Championship. Natalie recorded her highest round of the tournament, a 4 over par 76.

A bogey on number one, and a double bogey on number five only got worse from there. Only a birdie on number 9 could give Natalie Gulbis any hope on the front side, keeping her at 2 over 38 for the front. Bogeys on 12, 16, and 17 could only be offset by a lone back side birdie on number 15 to equal the front side score of 2 over par 38. Add em up and it says 4 over par 76 for the day…

Not a great week for Natalie Gulbis, as after 4 rounds her score was 8 over par, good enough to make the cut but in the 40-50ish place range. It could be time for some rest for Natalie’s back.

Right now Cristie Kerr, Natalie Gulbis’ best friend, is leading the tournament with Kristy McPherson at 9 under par with 6 holes to play.

The score went down and the score came back up for Natalie Gulbis on day on of the J Golf Phoenix LPGA International in Phoenix, Arizona.

Natalie Gulbis posted an even par 72 on a very windy day that saw most golfers over par, some as high as 11 over for the day.

A great start on the “back” side gave way to a poor finish for Natalie. Natalie started on number 10 and posted 3 birdies on the “back” side, but then fell out and finished poorly with 3 bogeys on the “front” side.

Minus those 3 bogeys, Natalie would be in 2nd place along with her great friend Cristie Kerr at 3 under. After round one, Natalie Gulbis is in a tie for 21st place instead.
