The final edition of the LPGA Corning Classic has come and gone… 2009 is the last year the event will be held. Natalie Gulbis posted 3 rounds under par for the event including a final day 69.

After turning in birdies on 7 of 9 front side holes on Saturday, Natalie Gulbis bogied hole number one on Sunday. Not to despair, Natalie came back and birdied 3 of the next eight holes to finish the front side in 2 under 34. Natalie then birdies 12 and 14 on the back, only to give one back on number 18 for a back side one under 35. Another sub par round for Natalie as she turned in a final day 69.

The leaders continued their scorching play and ventured into unheard of numbers as Paula Creamer finished the event 20 under par only to land in second place behind Yani Tseng who finshed an amazing 21 under par for the 4 days.

Natalie’s game has been solid here lately. She has been just outside the top 10 and knocking on the door of real contention. Lets hope her back and golf game can stay on this same path and continue a rise to the top in the near future!
