Natalie Gulbis talks about her play in the 2009 Safeway Classic after round 2. Natalie had a great 2nd day and turned in a stellar 68 for the day.

As pretty as Natalie Gulbis is, the Final Round of the Wegmans LPGA was just darn ugly. All Natalie could put together was a 4 over par 76 on Sunday.
The day started poorly with bogeys on both #1 and #2. From there a birdie at number 6 and a bogey at number eight cancelled each other out giving Natalie a 2 over 37 for the front side. The back didn’t start much better with a bogey on number 10. Just when things steadied out for a while, a nasty double-bogey 6 jumped out and got Natalie on number 16. She did keep her cool and came back and birdied number 17 in route to a 2 over 39 on the back nine. All in all a rough day at 4 over par.
Natalie finished in a tie for 61st place. On to Toledo and the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Presented by Kroger.

Natalie Gulbis started the 2009 Wegmans LPGA with a one under par 71 for day one.
Starting on the back side, Natalie birdied number 10, posted bogey on number 15, and came back and birdied number 16 for a one under par back side of 36. A bumpy start on the front with bogey, birdie, bogey on the first three holes leveled out with pars until a birdie on number 8 put Natalie Gulbis at even par for the front side and one under par 71 for the first round.
Play was suspended due to darkness, but Natalie currently sits in a tie for 35th place after the opening round with most of the players finished.

Steady as she goes was the phrase of the day for Natalie Gulbis on opening of the 2009 McDonalds LPGA Championship. Natalie turned in a steady even par round of 72 to open the 4 day LPGA Major event.
Starting on the back side Natalie Gulbis made bogey on number 11 and then cruised with all pars to finish the back side in one over 37. After making the turn and carding 4 pars, Natalie birdied number 5 to get back to even par for the round. Four more pars and the front side ended in one under par 35. Again, a steady day of nines, 37 and 35, for an even par opening round.
Natalie Gulbis is in a bunch of golfers at even par, including Lorena Ochoa, tied for 34th place after round one. Natalie tees off at 8:54am Eastern in round two.
