After withdrawing from last weeks LPGA event, the J Golf Phoenix LPGA International, Natalie Gulbis is entered and has started her first round in the 2009 Kraft Nabisco Championship. Natalie Gulbis teed off on hole number 10 to begin her 1st round in the LPGA’s first “major” of the 2009 season. Lets hope for great things from Natalie Gulbis this week during the Kraft Nabisco Championship being played at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. 
Natalie Gulbis withdrew from the J Golf Phoenix LPGA International. After posting an even par round of 72 on day one, Natalie Gulbis did not tee off for round two and withdrew from the tournament.
The score went down and the score came back up for Natalie Gulbis on day on of the J Golf Phoenix LPGA International in Phoenix, Arizona. Natalie Gulbis posted an even par 72 on a very windy day that saw most golfers over par, some as high as 11 over for the day. A great start on the “back” side gave way to a poor finish for Natalie. Natalie started on number 10 and posted 3 birdies on the “back” side, but then fell out and finished poorly with 3 bogeys on the “front” side. Minus those 3 bogeys, Natalie would be in 2nd place along with her great friend Cristie Kerr at 3 under. After round one, Natalie Gulbis is in a tie for 21st place instead.
Day three was better to Natalie Gulbis at the Mastercard Classic in Mexico. Natalie posted an even par final round of 72 and finished in a tie for 36th place. Not Natalie’s best… but a respectable tournament after spending several weeks overseas. Natalie Gulbis carded 2 bogeys and a birdie on the front and 2 birdies and a bogey on the back to finish at even par for the day and four over for the event. Day two just did her in and Natalie Gulbis could not fully recover with a sub par round on Sunday. Pat Hurst won the 2009 Mastercard Classic with an excellent 3 rounds of 10 under par. |
