Natalie Gulbis shot a blistering 6 under par 65 on day 2 of the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill.
Two birdies on the front and another 4 on the back allowed Natalie Gulbis to card her best round in quite a while. It was a day to remember for Natalie Gulbis as there wasn’t one bogey to offset the six birdies!
Even a great day like that only allowed Natalie Gulbis to keep pace with leader Lorena Ochoa who has posted rounds of 64 and 65 to lead the tournament after 2 rounds at 13 under par. Natalie Gulbis now is in a tie for 6th place at seven under par, 6 shots behind Ochoa.

Natalie Gulbis shot a 1 under 71 on the first day of the 2009 Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill. It was kind of a sporatic day for Natalie.
Natalie Gulbis started on the back side and bogeyed number 10. Two birdies on 13 and 15 put here in the right direction but she gave on back with a bogey on 17. Two birdies and two bogeys add up a ho hum back side of 35, good for even par.
The front side started much better as Natalie Gulbis birdied numbers 1 and 4. After a bogey on hole number 6 Natalie finished the front side with a one under par 35.
With her opening day 71 Natalie sits at one under par good for 30th place behind leader Lorena Ochoa who opened with a stellar 7 under par 64.

Celebrity Apprentice was crazy last week when Donald Trump inexplicably did not fire Clint Black for his video. Clint Black put the rather silly, rather unfunny video together with virtually no input from his teammates and was rejected by the All detergent execs for its suggestive nature.
I wonder what you think really happened? My suspicion is the producers needed to get rid of two dead wood personalities (sorry, T-Boz and Khloe) and keep the clashing of Joan Rivers-Clint Black going a while longer.
This week, Sunday’s episode focused on the two Rivers and poker player the outspoken Annie Duke. And since the first challenge was kinda boring (and eliminated the uninspired Brian McKnight), the second hour contained another challenge, a fashion show/fundraiser featuring Ivanka Trump’s jewelry.
The fireworks started during the boardroom of the first challenge, in which the two teams created a point-of-sale display for an identity theft program Lifelock.
Both teams did a good job but Natalie Gulbis‘ team, with Joan Rivers, Herschel Walker and Clint Black, was far more creative in it’s packaging. The lone drawback, the display didn’t hold the item they were selling.
Clint Black and Joan Rivers got along during the first challenge after clashing last week. Very strange but not unexpected as they probably received some feedback that they looked a little silly.
Joan Rivers contention was that Annie Duke was going to take down Playboy Playmate Brande Roderick in the boardroom for being lame and not so smart but instead Annie Duke let Rivers’ daughter Melissa be the one facing the ire of Donald Trump.
During the fashion show challenge, Annie Duke strangely became cutsie with Brande Roderick, who was slef indulged by this particular task and was even going to be a model during the show. Melissa Rivers was extremely jealous.
Natalie Gulbis came up with the amazing thought “it’d be great to get one of Duke’s poker rivals to show up at the fashion show and buy jewelry for the Joan Rivers team.” Joan Rivers was very excited that Natalie Gulbis was willing to go in the “gutter” with her and show some spunk.
The two hour Celebrity Apprentice ended with a twist. Last year’s winner Piers Morgan will help out Donald Trump to oversee the two teams, noting that Jesse James hasn’t raised any money and Melissa is a bit of a drama queen and isn’t well liked. It will be interesting just how much more competitive Morgan can make both teams.
I look for Natalie Gulbis to get very high marks if she can help pull off another win with her great idea!

What a wild episode!!! The task was to create a 60 second video for All detergent. The episode started with Donald Trump switching up the teams. I was moved from Team Athena, where we enjoyed much success, to Team KOTU (the boys' team), which stands for Kings of the Universe. What a ridiculous name! Although I wasn't thrilled to be moved to a new team, we had work to do.
Our project manager was Clint Black. I really enjoyed my time with Clint. He would break out his acoustic guitar and play old rock-and-roll hits, or whatever we requested (he's also an avid golfer, by the way, which meant he and I had a lot in common). As a project manager, however, he was a nightmare. He shot, starred, edited and produced the "Untitled" video that our team presented to the All executives. It was a mess! I was surprised that the All executives disliked Team Athena's video, which I thought was very funny, especially Jesse James. In the end, both teams wound up losing, and one member from each team was set to be fired. I have learned from my experience with Team McGladrey, that with the right team, anything is possible. For this particular task, however, we apparently didn't have the "right team."
Tboz was up first for the firing squad. She was fired due to volunteering. Team KOTU was next, and Clint Black decided to bring Khloe and me back to the board room. I was really mad that he didn’t choose to bring Joan back, as those two were at each other the entire task. Clint even said at one point that he thought he was going home, and that he was tired of fighting with Joan. Well, it turned out that Clint didn't get fired, although in my opinion, he was clearly at fault and deserved to go. In the end, Donald spared him and fired Khloe. I thought that wasn't the best decision, because he fired her for something she had done that didn't relate at all to her performance on the show. Clint Black was project manager for the task, therefore, he should have been held accountable for the team's performance. I know it's reality TV, which can be unpredictable and unfair, but Khloe wasn't the reason Team KOTU lost the task.
You can now be sure that in the episodes going forward, there are no rules, and anything can happen!
