Day two at the Wegmans LPGA for Natalie Gulbis was an even par round of 72. Natalie started on the front side and made 7 pars, one birdie and one bogey for even par 35. The back side started hot with birdies on 10 and 11, but bogeys on 14 and 17 cancelled both of the birdies out to leave her with an even par 37 on the back. With an opening round 71 and today’s even par 72, Natalie Gulbis is in a tie for 29th place.
Natalie Gulbis started the 2009 Wegmans LPGA with a one under par 71 for day one. Starting on the back side, Natalie birdied number 10, posted bogey on number 15, and came back and birdied number 16 for a one under par back side of 36. A bumpy start on the front with bogey, birdie, bogey on the first three holes leveled out with pars until a birdie on number 8 put Natalie Gulbis at even par for the front side and one under par 71 for the first round. Play was suspended due to darkness, but Natalie currently sits in a tie for 35th place after the opening round with most of the players finished.
Natalie Gulbis continued to play well on the final day of the 2009 LPGA Championship as she card a nice 2 under par 70 for the final round. This comes on the heels of a great Saturday round of 3 under 69. The front side on day 4 was all pars until a birdie at number seven and a bogey on number nine. Even par was the number for the front side in the final round. The back side consisted of all pars except for a pair of birdies on number 12 and number 15 in route to a 2 under par back side. So another sub par round for Natalie Gulbis, a 2 under 70 for the final day of the LPGA Championship. Natalie finished in a tie for 21st place as she rallied with a couple sub par rounds on Saturday and Sunday. Next up, the Wegman’s LPGA 6/26-6/28.
Steady as she goes was the phrase of the day for Natalie Gulbis on opening of the 2009 McDonalds LPGA Championship. Natalie turned in a steady even par round of 72 to open the 4 day LPGA Major event. Starting on the back side Natalie Gulbis made bogey on number 11 and then cruised with all pars to finish the back side in one over 37. After making the turn and carding 4 pars, Natalie birdied number 5 to get back to even par for the round. Four more pars and the front side ended in one under par 35. Again, a steady day of nines, 37 and 35, for an even par opening round. Natalie Gulbis is in a bunch of golfers at even par, including Lorena Ochoa, tied for 34th place after round one. Natalie tees off at 8:54am Eastern in round two. |
